Duckie, as we like to call him, is our new dog's favorite toy. She's a Redbone Coonhound we adopted from our local shelter & she didn't really play with any of the other squeaky toys we bought. We were beginning to think she didn't like toys, then we gave her this one & her playful personality emerged. She loooooooves her Duckie! In fact, she loves him so much that we're able to use him as a training aid. She's a heavy chewer though, so we allow her to destroy him, it's all about getting his honker out, that's her reward. Thank goodness for Amazon's low prices! Before I found Duckie on here, we were paying $8 for him at our local supermarket, the only place that had him. Now, we can buy him by the box loads! He's not a tough toy to destroy, she didn't like those tough material ones, but he is well made, she's just a really good chewer. She can get his honker out in under 10 minutes but she spends the rest of the day unstuffing him and carrying him around, so for us, he's worth it. Duckie has really helped her come out of her shell after spending months at the animal shelter.
