Description
Product Description Teach children about the wonders of physics with the Toysmith Newton's Cradle. The Newton's Cradle teaches principles of physics in a fun, hands-on way. Pull back the polished steel ball on one end and let it fall. When it hits, it transfers its energy to the ball at the far end of the line, setting it in motion. Experiment with releasing multiple balls at once and observe the effect. The Newton's Cradle makes a fun conversation piece, and fits perfectly on a desktop or coffee table. Recommended for ages 5 years and up. From the Manufacturer Newton's Cradle is fun and scientific. Start a kinetic chain reaction with one ball. Stands 4 1/2" high on a black base.

Ordered this and it came in broken so asked for a new one. The new one came in broken also. Asked for a refund this time. Not worth it.I've always wanted one of these as a kid, so when I finally had a legit office desk, I decided to buy a few toys to pile on top of it. Since I always wanted one of these, I bought this because it was cheaper. Unfortunately, you get what you pay for. The package it came in yelled cheapness and the product isn't much better. The balls are lighter than more quality cradles, so they don't bounce very well. The posts are very unsturdy and the base is a simple plastic, so it just doesn't hold together very well. The strings are super cheap plastic wire which probably wouldn't be a problem if the balls were heavier. When I went to bounce the balls, they worked like any standard cradle, but they only bounced a few times before stopping, due to the cheapness of quality. This might be fun to give to a kid to learn basic physics, but anything beyond that, I would definitely recommend spending a bit more money and getting something with heavier balls and better quality parts.I purchased this as a gift for a friend's birthday. She was happy with it and it was fun to play with but it is not the best quality material and construction. For the price I think this is a fun toy, a great way to teach others about science, and it would make a fun item to have sitting out on a desk or in an older child's room. The wires can become tangled if not treated with care, but the cradle came well packaged. I would not recommend this for young children. This Newton's Cradle is perfect for my office and desk area. My kids love to experiment with it and I've been using it to help them learn, so that's a bonus right? It does what it's supposed to, and I don't have any complaints. It came boxed where the bars were separate from the base, and all I had to do was set them in. I didn't have to string the balls onto the bars or anything like that, so it was very simple to set up.It's a smaller version of what I think of when I think of a Newton's Cradle, but that's why it's so easy to have on my desk.I'd definitely buy one of these for somebody as a gift, especially a kid. It does have me interested in finding a larger one... for science of course. Certainly not to play with... because I'm an adult.I didn't notice the size of this item which I see now states it stand 4 1/2 inches tall in the listing when I purchased it. Maybe the info was there maybe it wasn't but it was smaller than I thought it would be. I don't know what she was doing with it but my 12 year old broke a string the second day she had it. If you have nylon string it can be fixed easily. It's enjoyable but I would not recommend this for anyone under 12.Be careful! The box it shows in the pictures is not the box you get it in. The box is the size of a card deck box. It works just like a newton's cradle. It's a nice small office desk version of a newton's cradle but it's cheap material. This one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ZJH3ZP6/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 was much better in my opinion, it was larger and more what I expected.my daughter likes science and knick knacks...this was perfect for her. it was a bit small when i opened the box but fits well on her dresser not to take up too much space. the material of the base, feels hollow so it's not a heavy item and the strings were not tangled. very easy to assemble. my 10 year old did it with ease. This is a neat gift. It is small and cheaply made. The strings, when tangled don't hold up well. It is nice to sit on a desk or shelf but not to be played with regularly.no es lo que esperaba, es muy sencillo, y el precio muy elevado, me gustaria que tuviera mas calidad, saludos.
