My dogs constantly fight over this toy. They absolutely love it. It helps my small yorkie puppy stay away from destroying my furniture.I like that these were fairly uniform in size for the entire 6-inch length. Although our dogs are under 20 pounds each, they go through the skinny "small" antlers within a matter of about 2 weeks! This size is perfect for them and they'll get many hours of enjoyment from them. These Antlerz are 100% natural, rich in calcium and phosphorus, odorless, and unlike processed bones, they don't chip or splinter. The dogs slowly grind them down. My dogs get their teeth checked every 6 months and they have had no damage to their teeth. They contain no petrochemicals or artificial flavors. They last much longer than chews made from plastic, bone, compacted starch, or animal parts from a slaughter house which all stink and gross me out such as ears, hooves, and bully sticks! So far, the last two have lasted five and a half months, so I think they are an excellent value as compared to other chews.I've read the reviews complaining about the size. The difference in the sizes are in the diameter. They are all 4 - 6 inches long. I ordered the small the first time and they didn't last long enough. The second and third time, I bought the medium, which are 1.5 to 2.5 inches around. You can't expect a uniform size and shape when you are dealing with a natural product. I have 2 small dogs, 10 to 14 lbs. who absolutely LOVE chewing these! I recommend getting a larger size with larger dogs or especially aggressive chewers.Wild deer shed their antlers once a year, then grow new ones. These Antlerz are cleaned and sterilized before packaging. I am not sure why they don't mention the brand name (Antlerz) but that's the one I was hoping for when I bought these and was very happy to see that's what was sent!Reliably interesting toy that doesn't smell too bad. Absolutely no digestive effects that I can see, and it lasts much, much longer than an ear. It's a little more durable than a hoof and has the advantage of not smelling like old manure as the dog chews it, no doubt the reason my puppy is more enthusiastic about his revolting hooves. The first was lasting well until the 13 year old lab mix, a.k.a. Jaws, got hold of it and consumed it apparently because she thought the puppy was enjoying it too much. The bonus was that it cleaned up her teeth a lot. In her youth, she could destroy anything and all her toys had names like Rugged, Indestructo, Mega-Tuff, etc., so I would still rate this as a fairly lasting chew toy. The second is three months old and while it's only a stub, it's still around and being chewed every day.If your chewer has separation anxiety, go for cow ears, stuffed Kongs, or a bully stick. They'll last long enough for the dog to forget he was upset that you left, and they are more enticing than an antler, which is really for leaving around the house to chomp on when the urge strikes. Avoid hooves unless they're only for outdoors, and stay away from pig ears unless your dog has the stomach of a goat, because the grease will give most dogs the runs.My two Corgis are vigorous chewers. We used to buy sterilized marrow bones, but after having two splinter we are now afraid to buy those. After much research, I decided deer antlers might be a good choice. Our dogs are around 30 pounds, so we got the medium. Both dogs loved them (sat down and chewed for hours), but they only lasted about 4 days. One got chewed down to a tiny piece that I was afraid would be a choking hazard, so we threw it out. The other split in half. There were no sharp pieces, only smooth edges (unlike a broken marrow bone, which is quite sharp). Still, I was afraid that the half-pieces would be easy to shatter.I am re-ordering the next size up in the hopes it will last longer. We got some for Christmas presents for my sister's dog, and my parents' dog. My parents' dog is not much of a chewer and she really loves this chew. My sister's dog broke hers the first day; she is a very strong chewer and even though we got the jumbo size she managed to get big hunks off in no time.I would suggest ordering a size bigger than you think your dog requires. They are definitely appealing, and don't seem to get sharp edges like a bone might, but they are not a chew to give for unsupervised playtime. They are also quite pricey, so if the size bigger does not last we will need to look for other options.Update: I got the large size and it lasted two days. I will still get these on occasion, but they are too pricey for a regular treat considering how quickly my dogs eat them..Gave to my 36 lb dog, and it was in shards in just under 4 minutes. My guess is their sterilization process involved boiling. I could swear it wasn't horn, but a chicken bone. When our new dog started to get interested in the trim in our apartment, and our dining room table, we knew that we had to find something to occupy her time!QUALITYWell, I mean there's not much to say here right? They are all-natural, something which was important to us, and it took about a month for our little girl to get through this chew! Once it got down to about an inch or two we decided it was time to take it away before she decided to swallow it, but still we got a decent amount of time out of it!PRICEThis is our only complaint. Luckily we have Amazon Prime (saving us a few bucks on shipping), otherwise we would be looking to our local pet store for these as they are almost exactly the same price. You can also buy these in bulk (such as this product: very unimpressed by the size for the cost. i have purchased another antler chew from amazon which is a much better value. i would recommend this instead.http://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00FASXMZW?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00they are available in much larger sizes. for comparison the smallest choice in the link above is still larger than what i was send when i ordered the product this review is about. the link above is also cheaper.Shipped on time. My local walmart stopped carrying antlers so we have been trying to find a new source. Unfortunately this bone was $3 more expensive and upon arrival we see it is 1/3 smaller. It was also much thinner than expected. Also dryer than the other ones. This one is matte and full of cracks where the other was glossy. Not very happy with this antler but maybe I was just really lucky b4. Will keep searching, unlikely to buy again. My dog is in heaven :)I love that the antler doesn't smell or leave a mess when my pup's been gnawing on it...unlike every other bone/rawhide/chew thing. Very durable! My puppy had no interest in her other chew toys except to destroy them ;) and she shredded a Tuffy brand toy that I'd had high hopes for in the beginning. This is definitely a winner, will be buying her these again! Lasts many days with fairly constant chewing...my pup is about 13lbs and I got the small 4" antler. My dog loved this, but it was much smaller than I expected and was just a straight piece. I will be looking for another source to get more for a better price. Not impressed! product is not the size, image or color of the product showen as advertised.product looks cheap and not very durable for an antler
