After straying for decades, I have returned to where my feet should be. Inside great Berkies.Over the years I tried others until I hit bottom with Crocs. Would have still been hooked on those except that company 'improved' their shoes by changing the sizing....11 too small, 12 too big...no half sizes. As to be expected, Birkenstock has stayed consistent with a great product. Exactly as advertised. It felt so good to slip back into familiar comfort. This time instead of staying with the traditional strap sandal I went with the clog closed toe that I had become comfortable with wearing Crocs.Even though the shipment of my Birkenstocks came from Germany, they arrived fairly quickly. Brand new shoes in Birkenstock box....authentic.I did first price the shoe locally here in Humboldt County, California. That's how I chose the correct size.Buying from local merchants when possible is always a priority with me but in this case, the shoes were over $40 cheaper through the Amazon company Shoe Gress.I would and will purchase from Shoe Gress again.Shoe Gress gets my highest recommendation.Great shoes for happy feet. This feels like the real Birkenstock. I was worried that American Women’s size 8 wouldn’t translate correctly, but these fit fine. They’re slightly roomy, but that’s good because I don’t want the leather toe bed compressing or rubbing on me. I am 5’5” and overweight. My joints, limbs, feet are all very small boned and my weight is wrecking havoc on them. I needed as healthy of a footbed as possible, as much support as possible. These shoes are healthy. I already walked all over campus, which is like a mile, and my feet felt fine. They usually hurt. If you’re on the fence, like me, I recommend you go for it.Significantly cheaper than other Birkenstock, but a narrower shoe than the ones I was replacing. Hoping they break in.I say these Birks “fit as expected” but if you wear Birks you know that initially finding your correct size is tricky. I wear a 8.5-9 shoe consistently but in Birkenstock wear a 39 (8-8.5) in the clogs & a 38 (7-7.5) in the sandals! Other than sizing, I’ve had no issues with any of my Birkenstock shoes, the majority of which I purchased here.Purchase these & your feet will thank you!I seem to be between sizes. 39 N is just about right....but in some styles my toes push the edge. I tried to go to a 40 N and it was WAY too big. Lesson: stay true to your size, they DO mold to your foot.I was having toe pain from wearing to narrow toe shoes for a summer. I looked up what would get my toes some space to get back to normal. So I purchased the Birkenstock clogs. Now I only want to wear them. But with the snow and cold weather in Wisconsin. I have to wear snow boots to go out side. At home I wear heavy socks and my Birkeys. Do they make a snow shoe?you can never go wrong w/ birkenstocks!!! and what a great deal! i got the high arch only because my size was not available in the regular....the high arch was on sale so i figured i couldn't go wrong..... i do not notice that they are "high" or different than the norm.... great deal and a great shoe!!!Birkenstocks are all I wear after my back surgery that does not hurt my back. Great shoe I am glad to find them at an affordable price, they are well worth their money no matter the price for their comfort. These are awful. They are supposed to be the same size as a pair of Birkenstocks I already have, but are actally much smaller. The leather is dry and stiff, and was scratched and marked on receipt. One of the rivets has come off, and there's glue on the inside where the sole meets the upper. The quality is so poor, I'd suspect they are fake. Very disappointed, and now I have to waste my time returning them. I've only given one star, because I can't give less.Absolutely beautiful Birkenstock clogs and fit perfectly ... However they are FAULTY with what looks like a glue mark on the top of the right shoe, which won’t come off. They had previously been opened/tried on and obviously returned as faulty goods. This is the second pair of damaged/faulty shoes I have received from amazon and had to return. Do they not check goods prior to dispatch? Not good**ordered a replacement pair as I loved the style and colour - the second pair ALSO have a glue mark on the upper suede and have been tried on and returned (probably for that reason) I’m sure these are rejects/seconds, hence why they are a lot cheaper. Also reviewed a narrow fit when I requested regular - but luckily they fitHoping the glue mark comics off with cleaning and a suede brush!Been wearing these beauties for at least 4 years now and they still look perfect. Was really worried about getting suede as I thought they would show wear quicker but these seem to just go on forever! I cannot tell you how much I love these shoes! I wear these as soon as there is no rain or the prospect of rain, right through summer (where I mix between my Milano style for really sunny days). I just seem to be able to wear these with any outfit! Mum jeans, skinny jeans, sweatpant type shorts, linen shorts, summer dresses...just everything in my wardrobe! This review is about sellers, not the product, which is great - as long as you get the right width. In my case Regular and not Narrow. My seller, based in Germany, after being contacted confirmed that the listing was for Regular ( as per the listing). However, when the shoes arrived they were Narrow fitting. Seems to be a common problem according to other review. Be vary when ordering !reviews suggested a size larger than usual was needed but in my husband's case this wasn't needed. The shoes are just that little bit too big for him and as they are backless he struggles to keep his feet in them. He's been wearing them for a while now and still hasn't got the knack of not losing his shoes! However, the shaped sole seems to have done wonders for his feet and he no longer has foot pain so I'd say they are pretty good in general
