My dog tore this apart in less than a day. Nevertheless he enjoyed doing it ! However, you can’t really play tug of war with this because it tears easilyOur indefatigueable golden retriever loves these toys and so do we, despite a relatively high rate of nonretrieval (by her, not the fault of the bong). The great advantage is the cord and loop make it so much easier for US to get it from her to throw again. Of about 5 we've had so far she has managed to shred part of the cord of only one. (All but one of the others disappeared in the brush or got caught in a tree intact so we don't know how long they would have lasted.)Update: Sept 10 - The bong floats (duh)! It is visible and thus retrievable far out into the water, and she had a great time swimming out into the lake after it (over and over and over . . .). So this summer's experience makes me think it's way better adapted for play near the water or in an open field than in the woods where we live in most of the year.Excellent dog toy! Sturdy, well made. The best fetch toy to exercise the dog I have ever used.Great product for dog. One thing is that the handle it has is only taped as you can see in picture and when you have a 70# dog pulling on it the tape gives way and is eventually just a rope with a monkey fist on the end of it. But can still use it as a toy and my lab loves it. I use it as a reward after going through obedience drills.I don't let him have it full time. Otherwise he would eventually and quickly destroy it. He always has to give it back to me and it gets put away.My Big Doberman Sherlock just loves to play fetch with this toy. He also gnaws on it and he has really clean and white teeth from "flossing" with it. We recently had his yearly vet visit, and the vet said his teeth were "beautiful" for a 3 year old. This is the second one of these toys I have bought for him since he was 8 weeks old. He still has the first one. The toy is not easy to find. It is not made out of cheap stringy rope. It is a poly nylon type rope that doesn't easily fray or tear apart. Well worth the money. And it's big! This ball toy is great! It is easy for me to swing it and send it across the yard so she really has to run to get it. I did however make the mistake of leaving it outside and she chewed through it within about 8 hours :( - My fault though, I need to remember to bring them in and put them up. She is a puppy and still loves to chew. I actually ordered two more and will remember to put them up after using them. They are a really nice nylon type rope and fun to play tug of war with her too.My Amstaff loves this toy, but as with many toys I have to watch him. If left alone with it he works on where the loop is joined and pulls the threads apart. Other than that it's a great tug toy and he likes to rapidly swing his head so that he literally beats himself up with the ball! This booda wing-a-ball dog toy is Sturdy, keeps my puppies interest. I'm Glad I purchased it!!!He has a powerful grip and thus toy stands up to itGood quality but my daughter's large dog does not like the ball.Comes apart too easy wouldn't suggest it if your pet chews allotMy Ally loves chasing this thingmy dogs like itmore for a gentle dog
