My girl Rylee, loves this ball. I've gotten her many of them , and we spend our day---me throwing the ball, she chasing it down. She reminds of a wide receiver, looking over her shoulder for the ball to land.I usually have to throw the ball away, after she has chewed on the openings too much, or if the ball has finally cracked from landing on the ground etc.Ordering her some more, they make great Christmas gifts for her [shh, dont tell her, this is what she's getting from Santa LOL]I wanted to love this, and our young 8mo Labrador truly enjoyed this toy! The holes were a good size not to get a jaw stuck and she loved carrying the ball, pushing it with her nose and dunking ot in the kiddy pool....problem with the ball is the outer hard plastic, once chewed a little, gave her mouth/corner lip sores. Only one day /several hours of enjoyment I noticed the slight swollen corners of her mouth were red. Very noticeable against her Black coat. The sores are better but still there 24hrs later. Our choice to no longer allow her to play with it. It hasn't affected her other then that, but I wish the ball were more like the rubber Jolly Balls. We have a couple jolly balls and she grips them. She's a hunting dog so I don't want her mouth cut. That's why I gave only 4 stars over all. It has potential otherwise t doesn't last long. It was fun for a little while, I wonder about hard chewers.....My dog can destroy any toy she’s given. I bought this ball in December and she still loves it. She plays with it quite often and it’s one of her favorites. It has held up really well and she has not destroyed it.This turned out to be the favorite toy of my 10month old French Bulldog. I’ve offered her other balls to play with but her ultimate favorite is this one which also happens to be about the same size, if not bigger, than her head. She grabs the ball via the holes and is able to get a good grip for carrying it around. Dog toy preferences very per dog, as my other Frenchie could care less. But this toy gets a lot of use and abuse plus has lasted a long time for my fetch loving Frenchie. I have bought additional ones to pay with in the house. The ball exterior is easy to clean until your dog makes teeth grove marks, which makes it a bit more difficult to clean mud/grass off. But the ball on the interior is more challenging to clean. I say get two, and leave one outside. We also brought it to the beach and it was nice to play with and got cleaned off after throwing it in the water a few times. It seemed to float in the shallow end but we were not in deep water to confirm this theory. Tested and approved by a French Bulldog. Based on our experience, I would think that even for a bigger stronger dog that this toy would hold up for a while. Worth the price to try.It takes my gentle pitty roughly two months to excise the inner ball. He plays until he is exhausted. This is the greatest toy for my fur baby. I guess that I will have to reorder this jolly ball bimonthly ?.My dog absolutely loves this toy! He has been playing with it for months now and it is super durable and definitely his favorite. A great buy!We bought two of these as a replacement for one that we bought 4 years before and the only reason we had to replace it was because I ran over it with my truck. We have four dogs and everyone of them will play for hours with them. Very durable and practical. Our dogs love them.My girl lives for this thing. I can’t say it earns a high mark from me in durability because it’s covered in deep tooth marks—but her reaction to the toy is reason enough for 5 stars. If you have a herding dog this thing’s a must.Bought this for my friend's JRT. He loves it! Not too noisy and it's something that he can play with and enjoy alone. He's only had it a few days, but he goes back to it, plays for quite a while and then needs a rest! He hasn't yet caused damage to it, unlike tennis balls that don't last long! And it's very amusing to see him carry it - like he has a giant red nose!Would certainly recommend for JRTs, along with good quality tugs ropes. They seem to be his favourite things to play with/chew.In terms of delivery...had hoped to have had in time for Christmas but it arrived in January, so allow a longer period of time compared to many other items that are despatched from Amazon (I'm not sure if it came from the US).Our dog loved this ball, but he got his jaw stuck in the hole, his lower teeth were jammed behind the plastic and he was very distressed. It is a shame but this is not safe for the intended purpose. It has only been two days but my Rottweiler has not yet managed to destroy this despite hours of playing with and biting it. She is obsessed with trying to get the inner ball out.Good product but our Lakeland terrier has managed to chew around the holes and they have become quite rough and jagged. My German Shepherd absolutely loves this, the only down side is he has got his paw stuck in the hole, but it doesn't stop him throwing it around
