I have worked at animal shelters for years and I see toys of every kind absolutely destroyed, whenever I come across one of these, they are in perfect condition and last for years for hundreds of dogs. My personal dog is a very hyperactive husky mix and these keep her enriched for hours on hours. I purchased 2 for my dad's mastiff and great dane over a year ago and they love them (and they are still in perfect condition)! Highly recommend for dogs in need of lots of enrichment or heavy chewers that usually destroy toys.First treat took my dog a week to demolish. She definitely really likes it and would chew on it for an hour or so at a time. I followed the directions to load the replacement treats but she always manages to pop them out so they don't last as long.I actually purchased a large star Mark wheeler for my german shepherd over 5 years ago. That wheeler lasted her lifetime, the lifetime of multiple Foster dogs, my border collie, and is now being used by my gigantic Labrador retriever who has finally started to tear it apart. When I noticed he was breaking pieces off of it I decided it was time to invest in a new one, it arrived and when I took it out of the package, it smelled very very sweet? It had a heavy plastic smell which is not terribly unexpected but I don't know if it's maybe the treat that comes with it has gone bad or something else but I thought maybe it was just because it was new and it needed a little while to air out. I left it in my kitchen on the counter uncovered to let it air itself out and hopefully get rid of the smell so I wasn't quite as worried about it being potentially toxic, and all it did was stink up my whole kitchen and adjacent dining room / living room. Basically everywhere in my house that there isn't a closed door now smells like this weird really sugary plastic smell. It's been 3 days, and although the smell has faded from the rest of my house, if you're within 5 ft of where it is sitting, it still stinks. I took the treat out of it and I washed it thoroughly with soap and water, dried it off, and I set it all back down and it still smells. It could just be the scent of the rubber and eventually it will wear away? Or it could be the scent of the treat and maybe if I toss the treat that came with it and replace it with a different one? I don't know. I've had really good experiences with starmark toys in the past, but I've never had any of them come in with this hyper shiny plastic and a funky smell. I am debating contacting the seller. And I will update with news if I get a replacement. All in all, I would typically recommend this product or any product by starmark, but the one that I received that I purchased on Amazon is worrisome. It’s mostly indestructible! My husband call the cookies million dollar cookies but they do last fairly well! My dog can eat it (lick/ chew it )in a couple of days. Which is shorter than I had hoped but he gets such joy from it! This is the 3rd purchase but one disappeared the same day we got it! He is good at hide and seek? so third time is a charm!Okay as you can see my dog is in disarray.I bought this cool little treat for him and some replacement discs the next day. Everything arrived very quickly. My dog loves it. In fact he loves it so much I'm very concerned. First off thank the god of my understanding for that rubber ring around it because the Nortorious LBD would have been done with that flavored center in minutes. When I tell you he loves it, that's a lie. My dog is addicted to it and times are real hard right now. As you can see from the pick,he's sold his bed for more discs and he's now crashing on my spot trying to sneak a peek at my Amazon Prime password.AGAIN.I took this while he was sleeping cause, frankly when he's awake he's just not himself and I'm not liking it AT ALL.Always scratching and digging around in things. ANYWAY,I noticed right away something was off because he dissapeared behind a chair after 20 minutes I think. My dog loves being involved with the family so that was unusual to say the least. I called for him but nothing. I looked and there he was in a dark corner holding onto this "treat" like is it was the last set of tires at the Daytona 500. When I proceeded to walk closer his eyes looked really strange and his lip started to quiver and raised ever so slightly on one side. So I reached down to rub his ears and honey ,when I tell you he growled I mean the neighbors heard it. This is not our normal okay. Well I thought, okay play time. No, he wasn't having any of that. I grabbed at the ring and he held it so tight with his little paws I was a little scared, his back arched up and he drew back further into that dark little corner......omg.He wouldn't come out for an hour or so. Then when he did he brought that rubber ring and sat it down right at my feet. I looked at him and he had the most pitiful look, then he looked down at the rubber ring and back up to me. My Mother was on the sauce really bad growing up and I'd seen this look before right before she told me I needed to fix a pbj sammie cause she " needed to borrow " my lunch money. I knew we had 2 more discs coming so I knew I had a little bit of time before things got crazy in here. As he's laying here in my " spot" sleeping one off, passing gas, doggie dreaming and doggie howling while dreaming.....he is about start doing a 12 Step program. 12 steps to the park and a whole bunch more. My mamma, god rest whole soul, used to shout across the room after she cleaned her act up,IT WORKS IF YOU WORK IT!!!!!! So me and Mr Notorious here are gonna "step"our butts to the nearest meeting spot and do some things differently than what we just been through.KEEP IN DOING WHAT YOU DID AND BOY,YOU KEEP ON GETTIN WHAT YOU GOT,momma said that too.Have A Nice Day Y'all ?Arrived... eventually! Was ridiculously small and broken in under an hour.Everlast, I think not.Our dog took to this toy straight away! She loves the flavoured puck in the centre and quickly became obsessed with it. I love that this toy is dishwasher safe, and that you can purchase new pucks for the centre as needed to keep the toy clean, engaging and fun.My dog took just minutes to take out and eat the whole treat, and is not interested at all in the treat-less hard rubber. Very expensive a toy for what it provides. My dog chewed pieces off the first time he had it, and he’s not a heavy chewer. I love the concept but it needs to be more durable.I’ll be sticking with kong brand products that I know will last.My dog was able to chew pieces off within days.
