I have to buy one of these every year! One of my dogs has taken to it madly...when she is being told off to sit down , she takes it out on the meerkat ! By shaking it furiously Then she loves it back after..So it does get bit ripped, and sewing it back is a challenge . it goes in her bed if she is unwell..it’s her best baby! This toy is good if you have a dog that does not chew or bite their toys , it lasted a week the dog took it out every day with him for his walk and when I stopped to speak to someone he got bored and chewed holes in it and started to rip the stuffing out , he stil has it but it has the road traffic accident look nowWe’ve bought three of these so far. Our dog’s got past the stage of ripping toys apart but usually tests the squeaker to destruction and then walks around with it in her mouth, then loses it somewhere outside.Good fun for hiding in plain sight- you can hang it off drawer handles etc. As dog toys go, it’s a good one.Other reviewers have said that this dog toy fell to bits straight away. I think it depends on your dog. Mine just loves finding the squeak and doesn't rip it to bits. My other dog used to have soft toys and rip them to pieces in 2 minutes flat. But if your dog just enjoys a squeaky toy then this is great. Many dogs will tear apart squeaky toys, as somebody once told me the squeak sounds like an animal in distress, so the dog rips it to bits, like it would do in the wild. Whether that's true or not, if your dog does rip up squeaky toys, then don't buy it. I've had mine a couple of months now and it's still in one piece.Excellent toy. I bought the santa version as a Christmas present and the dog had ripped the coat off and opened the toy a little so the stuffing came out. However she loves the toy so much that it was a no brainer to order another one - which is exactly the same but a bit cheaper. The other one lasted six months, but it took a lot of abuse over that time, and will see how long this one lasts. The dog is very happy with it so recommended :)
